I graduated from Thiel College in May 2005 with a B.A. in Chemistry and a minor in Psychology. While in college, I worked as a TA for freshmen and sophomore level chemistry classes. I also served as Thiel Activities Board representative for the Student Government Association.
In the summer between my Junior and Senior years I completed an internship/independent study at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. This internship involved testing sediment, soil, and water samples for hexavalent chromium as part of a lawsuit involving Erin Brockovich.
After graduation, I moved to Las Vegas, NV. I spent a couple of years working for Shaw Environmental Inc. as an Inorganic data auditor. After eventually getting bored with working as a ‘paper pushing’ chemist, I moved on to my current job as a chemist for a small environmental testing laboratory. After two years on the job I have been promoted to Senior Organic Chemist and love helping the small laboratory grow and thrive!
On the weekends I enjoy playing in my men’s and mixed doubles tennis leagues. I also enjoy getting in a round of golf every now and then!
